There has been a notable decline in creative education and a growing skills gap in the Arts sector across Scotland. Many young people lack awareness of arts careers and essential employability skills, limiting opportunities and weakening the talent pipeline for creative industries that contribute £5 billion annually to Scotland’s economy. With this programme, we seek to address these issues by investing in young people and providing them with hands-on guidance and experience in the Arts sector.
We will provide tangible learning opportunities for Scotland’s young people across our organisation, from Props and Stage Management to Marketing and Finance. Through a combination of interactive online webinars, in-person workshops and work experience placements, we will showcase the diverse range of creative careers and teach transferable skills, like teamwork and problem-solving, inspiring confidence and creating clear pathways into the Arts.
