We’re currently one of the most poorly funded hospices in the country. Only 13.8% of our running costs are met by ongoing NHS funding – less than half the national average. The population of Milton Keynes continues to grow, meaning more demand for our specialist services. On top of this, stretched local NHS services, such as GP surgeries, are increasingly relying on us for support. We’re dependent on fundraising to care for people coping with the devastating impact of a life-limiting illness.

With funding from The Big Give, we can move forward with our three-year strategy to create a financially sustainable future for the Hospice. We can plan ahead, knowing our expert teams will be there to care for future generations of our community. Easing patients’ symptoms, providing emotional support and preventing unnecessary hospital admissions. Our holistic approach gives patients a better end-of-life experience, so they can spend precious quality time doing the things that matter to them.
