The Old Fire Station's annual Christmas show returns with a new play by award-winning writer and comedian Jonny Donahoe, a witty sequel to the Dickens' classic 'A Christmas Carol'. Please help us bring vibrant new writing to the stage, include our community and brighten up Christmas for everyone.

Winter often brings isolation, loneliness, and fewer creative opportunities, especially for marginalised communities, those experiencing homelessness, or people who cannot afford festive events. Oxford needs a Christmas show which engages the public with high-quality, accessible artistic work, brings the local community together, and recognises different stories and lived experiences.
Continuing The Old Fire Station’s tradition of serious but funny Christmas shows for grown-ups, Jonny Donahoe returns, exactly ten years after writing the first OFS show (Thirty Christmases) in 2016. 'A Christmas Carol Continues' will offer a space to connect through laughter, art, and community. By celebrating our diverse stories and offering affordable access, it will lift winter gloom, support mental wellbeing, and reach new audiences who rarely engage with the arts year-round.
