Millions of UK families face acute poverty and go without essentials such as toiletries, clothing, bedding, baby items and household goods. At the same time, businesses hold large volumes of perfectly usable surplus stock that can go to waste. The Multibank tackles both problems through regional distribution hubs linked to over 3,000 community partners, which get essential goods to families and connect them with wraparound support.
We find, select and activate national and regional partnerships with leading UK businesses that have surplus essential goods - and distribute those items via our regional Multibank hubs - to trusted local charities, teachers and social workers who know the families most in need. Our regional hubs sort and distribute products free, promptly and with dignity. The goods also help referral partners engage families with support, including debt advice, mental-health support and employment pathways.
