Project Seagrass is raising match funding to restore seagrass meadows, protect marine wildlife and inspire communities to care for our seas. Every donation will be doubled, helping us achieve twice the impact for people, nature and climate.

Impact areas
Seagrass meadows are one of the UK's most threatened habitats, with up to 92% lost over the last century. Their decline threatens marine wildlife, reduces carbon storage, weakens coastal resilience and impacts water quality. Project Seagrass is restoring these vital ecosystems through science, community action and education, helping create healthier seas, support biodiversity and inspire people to protect our marine environment.
Project Seagrass restores seagrass meadows through science-led restoration, research and community action. We work with volunteers, schools, businesses and coastal communities to restore habitats, collect vital data through citizen science, inspire the next generation of ocean champions and influence policy. Together, these actions protect biodiversity, strengthen coastal resilience, improve water quality and help tackle climate change for future generations.
