Alsama's four WASC-accredited Education Centres give displaced, out-of-school teenagers in Beirut's refugee camps a world-class accelerated education - illiteracy to university-readiness in six years - plus competitive cricket. Refugee-led, we're growing to reach more young people like them.

Syrian refugee teenagers in Lebanon's camps are locked out of formal schooling: 85% of Syrian refugees in Lebanon cannot attend school, just 2% finish secondary education, 30% of boys leave for child labour, and 35% of girls are married before 18. Nine in ten never reach university or find work after school age. Without options like Alsama, these teenagers have nowhere else to turn for an education that fits their reality, leaving them at risk of poverty, poor health, and lifelong dependency.

Alsama runs four WASC-accredited Education Centres in Beirut's camps - the only refugee education provider in Lebanon with this accreditation. We teach illiterate teenagers to read within six months and compress 12 years of schooling into 6, taught mostly by local or refugee staff. 950 students are enrolled, over 60% girls, playing competitive cricket and working towards our G12++ university-entry qualification, at roughly 80% the cost of a typical Lebanese education.
