Commercial pantomimes can use celebrity casting to justify expensive ticket prices; they can include inappropriate humour. Saltmine's Christmas production will be a truly original creation, written to appeal to all ages with a timely focus on putting other before yourself which encourages social connection. 'Treasure Island' will tour to regional venues booked by organisations whose priority is community outreach rather than profit margin.

Saltmine Theatre Company will write and create an imaginative new portrayal of this classic story suitable for adults and children alike. Our production will combine an innovative set and staging, original songs which will be performed live and dance routines to produce an engaging festive treat. Funding to help us to cover production costs means we can offer this show at an affordable rate to our bookers, who in turn can offer affordable ticket prices to their audiences.
