The need for foster carers and adopters in the UK is great, and many children are left in inappropriate situations as a result. The government is recognising the reduction in foster carer numbers and understands that this has led to a crisis throughout the UK. The outcomes for many children who have been Looked After is poor in terms of educational achievement, mental health and criminality. Cornerstone wants to improve these situations for Looked After Children and Young People.

We are actively recruiting, training and approving foster carers and adopters to increase the number of families able to meet the needs of the most vulnerable children in our society which are our Looked After Children. Our goal is to provide these children with stability, nurture and care within the context of Christian families and their wider support networks, resulting ultimately in improved life outcomes for these children - better health, education and social outcomes.
