Access to high-quality live classical music and specialist music education is becoming increasingly limited, particularly outside major cities. Rising costs make it harder to present ambitious artistic programmes while keeping events affordable, and many young musicians have few opportunities to learn from internationally recognised performers. Without charities like RCMF, communities miss out on inspiring cultural experiences that bring people together and nurture future talent.

The 2027 Romsey Chamber Music Festival will bring internationally acclaimed musicians to Hampshire for six days of concerts, workshops, masterclasses and community events inspired by music from across the Americas. Alongside exceptional performances, we will work with local schools, nurture emerging artists through our Young Artist Programme and ensure high-quality live music remains accessible to everyone.
