OLOV is fundraising to transform its ageing playground into a vibrant place for play, friendship, creativity and resilience. It is used everyday by 170 pupils primary & nursery pupils who deserve an inspiring place to learn, grow and thrive. Rooted in faith, they will grow through play.

Our current playground has served generations of pupils well, but it is tired, worn and no longer meets the needs of today's children. Where screens are an increasingly dominant part of everyday life, providing an engaging outdoor space has never been more important. We want to renew the entire surface, create spaces for different ages and buy new outdoor equipment to create a place where friendships flourish, imaginations soar and lifelong memories are made. Costs exceed the school's budget.
The Development Team of the Saint John Southworth Foundation (charity no 1121531) has been working with the OLOV community on the playground renewal project since May 2026. A robust and dedicated fundraising strategy has already raised a proportion of the funds required, following a successful 'Giving Day'. We are working with the OLOV PTA, individual donors, grants from trusts and individual donors to raise these funds.
