Emmaus Mossley's ageing roof has reached the end of its life and is failing, putting at risk 26 homes for people rebuilding their lives after homelessness. Without urgent replacement, water ingress and continued deterioration threaten our residential community, social enterprises and the community hub where thousands of local people volunteer, connect, learn, access support and take part in activities that strengthen wellbeing and reduce social isolation.
Emmaus Mossley will replace the failing roof at Longlands Mill, securing our homes, community spaces and social enterprises for decades to come. This investment will protect a safe, stable environment where people recover from homelessness while preserving a thriving community hub that provides volunteering, work experience, skills development, social connection and opportunities that help prevent homelessness before people reach crisis point.
