When a child is discovered abandoned on the streets, fleeing abuse, or facing immediate danger, our team acts quickly to ensure they are safe. The shelter provides a safe route for children to move from persecution and vulnerability towards healing, justice, and a brighter future.

According to UNICEF and the Nigeria Violence Against Children Survey, approximately 6 out of every 10 Nigerian children experience physical, emotional, or sexual violence before the age of 18. Only a small proportion of children ever receive professional support or access to justice. Hundreds of millions of girls have experienced sexual violence before adulthood. Child witchcraft accusations are frequently associated with violence, abandonment, abuse, trafficking and even death.
We believe in an Africa where every child is safe, valued, protected from harm, and free to realise their full potential. In 2025, our emergency shelter underwent a complete rebuilding programme, thanks to the Big Give. The facilities are now the strongest they have ever been. However, buildings alone do not protect children. It is the dedicated staff, counsellors, lawyers, social workers, foster carers, and child protection specialists who make the difference.
