Support The Carbonators, Club Soda’s pioneering band of learning-disabled musicians, to take their new documentary on tour. Funds will help the band attend relaxed screenings and sharing events across the UK, connecting their story with new audiences and wider disability arts networks.

Learning-disabled musicians are still too often excluded from mainstream stages, festivals and film platforms, or recognised for barriers rather than talent. The Carbonators’ documentary tells a powerful story of disabled artists making ambitious, original work. We want the film and live band to reach new audiences, helping shift perceptions of what learning-disabled artists can create, lead and achieve.

Club Soda will organise a small documentary tour for The Carbonators, planned around major UK film festival windows in Glasgow and Manchester in March 2027, and Sheffield and London in June 2027. The tour will combine relaxed film screenings, audience Q&As and live performances by the band. If festival selection is not possible, we will work with partner venues and disability arts organisations to host events in those cities.
