We believe every child should have the opportunity to experience music. We support Gallions Primary School in Newham, one of the UK's most deprived areas, to provide a rich music education beyond the National Curriculum, including individual and small group lessons, SEN tuition and ensembles.

Many children in Newham grow up facing poverty, displacement and social disadvantage, limiting their access to opportunities that support learning and personal development. Schools are under increasing financial pressure, making it difficult to provide arts education beyond the National Curriculum. As a result, many children miss out on the confidence, creativity, wellbeing and sense of belonging that a high quality music education can provide.
Statutory funding for music education limits what the school can provide. Gallions Music Trust bridges that gap by funding all extracurricular music provision, including orchestras, choirs, workshops with professional musicians, trips to live performances, and bursaries for individual lessons. These opportunities help pupils build confidence, develop new skills and broaden their aspirations, improving the lives and future prospects of some of the UK's most disadvantaged children.
