People living with progressive neuromuscular conditions face ongoing physical, emotional and social challenges, including loss of independence, uncertainty, anxiety, isolation and changes to identity, relationships and daily life. Access to specialist emotional support is limited, and mainstream services may not always meet the accessibility needs or understand the lived experience of progressive disability.

NMC will provide accessible, person-centred Talking Therapy sessions for people living with neuromuscular conditions and carers. Qualified counsellors will offer a safe, confidential space to explore emotional challenges, build coping strategies and improve wellbeing through face-to-face, telephone or online support tailored to individual needs.
