Many children referred to Ride High have experienced trauma, neglect, poverty, family breakdown or poor mental health. In 2025, Ride High supported a record 374 children, yet demand continues to outstrip capacity, with over 100 children waiting for a place. Without timely intervention, these challenges can have lasting consequences for children's wellbeing, education and future opportunities. Every child deserves the chance to thrive and the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
Ride High helps vulnerable children rebuild confidence & resilience through horse riding, horse care & creative activities. Horses create a calm, non-judgemental environment where children feel safe to build trust, manage emotions & engage with others. Supported by experienced staff & volunteers, they discover their strengths, build positive relationships develop essential life skills &, rather than focusing on the challenges they've faced, gain the confidence to believe in a brighter future.
