Families caring for a disabled child face extreme exhaustion and isolation. Many feel unable to leave home or take part in family activities, as it feels too challenging and they fear judgement. In fact, recent research found 89% of parents of children with SEND say their child's needs limit ordinary family experiences. This isolation harms family wellbeing, impacts siblings’ emotions, and can lead to poor mental health, family crisis and long-term negative outcomes for children.

We provide family days out every weekend and throughout school holidays, offering a chance to go out together that many families cannot otherwise manage. Based at our Treehouse site, families can enjoy activities together in a safe, supportive environment. With our support crew on hand, parents can rest, siblings can play, and families can connect with others who understand their lives. This reduces isolation, strengthens family bonds, helps create lasting memories & improves family wellbeing.
