Unpaid family and friend carers are the backbone of our society. They are selfless, supportive, resilient, incredible people who support those who cannot support themselves. We are seeking funding to be able to continue providing peer-led and volunteer support to unpaid carers across Hertfordshire

Most of us will become unpaid carers at some point, supporting a parent, partner, family member or friend. Yet many carers remain unseen, often not recognising themselves as carers or knowing where to turn for support. Feeling isolated, overwhelmed and alone, they risk burnout. Our volunteer and peer-led support across Hertfordshire ensures unpaid carers are recognised, connected and supported, so no one has to care alone.

We provide free, essential support to unpaid family and friend carers across Hertfordshire. Co-produced with carers, our services are shaped by lived experience to meet real needs. Through volunteer-led mentoring, support hubs, bereavement support and our Keeping in Touch service, we create opportunities for connection, respite and friendship, alongside expert advice, advocacy and practical support to help carers feel informed, valued and empowered.
