Thousands of songs, tunes and dances from across East Anglia are preserved in our archives, along with photos/recordings - but most aren't publicly accessible. We need a dedicated archivist to catalogue the collection so we can begin digitising it and share this extraordinary heritage with everyone.

Our archives preserve decades of recordings, manuscripts, photographs and research from across East Anglia shared by dedicated collectors, including by our founders John & Katie Howson. Many of these recordings and documents exist nowhere else. Right now, the physical archives are stored in our office and, although in good order, they are hard to access for most people - and we can't start the digitisation process until the archives are fully and accurately catalogued.

We will bring in a professional part-time archivist to assess and catalogue the archives, as well as to develop a clear strategy on how to digitise the collections. The EATMT team will then be able to arrange digitisation, giving an additional layer of protection to the archives and eventually allowing us to share these amazing records much more widely today and in the future, making sure the East Anglian communities who shared and preserved this amazing heritage can continue to access it.
