No young person should miss out on music because of financial barriers. Help us raise £40,000 to support 175 young musicians across the UK with the funding and opportunities they need to develop their musical futures, and ensuring their potential isn't lost to cost.

Young musicians from low-income backgrounds face financial, social and geographic barriers that limit access to musical opportunities. The cost of instruments, lessons, exams, travel and specialist courses can prevent young people from developing their talents and progressing to further study or careers in music. These barriers contribute to underrepresentation in the music sector and mean too many young people are unable to fulfil their potential.

Future Talent will support 175 young musicians in 2026 through financial awards averaging £1,000, alongside personalised support and development opportunities. Funds help cover costs such as instruments, lessons, exams and courses. For example, Harin used her award to buy a viola, Luke attended a cello course, and Isla was able to take her Grade 5 Oboe exam. By removing barriers, we help talented young musicians thrive.
