Treehouse Play Therapy, an Aylesbury Vineyard project, funds Play Therapy and Family Clubs for primary school children affected by domestic abuse. We aim to support 10 children weekly through 1 to 1 sessions and early intervention activities, helping them build resilience and thrive.

One in five UK children experience domestic abuse, which can alter brain development and trigger anxiety, depression and behavioural difficulties. Without early support, these effects often worsen into adulthood. Yet NHS CAMHS waiting lists leave over 250,000 children waiting for mental health care, many over a year, with no support meanwhile. Treehouse Play Therapy exists to close this gap, giving traumatised children timely, professional therapeutic support before problems become entrenched.
Treehouse Play Therapy provides trained professionals delivering 1 to 1 Play Therapy, a long term approach built on lasting change rather than a quick fix. Play is a child's natural language, helping them safely process feelings and experiences they cannot yet put into words. This builds trust, supports emotional regulation and helps children heal from trauma at their own pace. Family Clubs and Joy Boosting activities reinforce this progress at home, giving children the best chance to thrive.
