Across Cambridgeshire, families with children under five face challenges that can shape a child’s future. Mental ill health, financial distress, isolation, disability, bereavement, domestic abuse, traumatic births and other adverse experiences often overlap, creating complex needs. As thresholds for statutory support continue to rise, many families are left without help. Home-Start stands alongside them early, providing vital support when no one else can.
We provide tailored, non-judgemental support that meets each family’s unique needs. Our services include weekly volunteer home-visiting, family groups, remote support and specialist parent-child relationship therapy. By building trusted relationships, we strengthen parents’ confidence, resilience and wellbeing, helping them create safe, nurturing homes where children can thrive. Early support changes lives, prevents families reaching crisis and gives children the best possible start in life.
