We're raising £15,000 to keep The Bell Tower open-a lifeline for vulnerable young people in Chichester. Our daily drop-in, shared meals, mentoring and youth-led programmes offer safety, connection and opportunity to young people facing isolation and hardship leading them to brighter futures.

Though Chichester looks affluent, five neighbourhoods rank among the 40% most deprived in England—one in the top 10%. Many young people here face loneliness, poor mental health and a lack of stable adult relationships, worsened by the cost-of-living crisis and the lasting effects of the pandemic. Without safe, consistent spaces after school, they risk isolation, antisocial behaviour and going home to cold, empty houses. Too many are falling through the cracks with nowhere to turn.
The Bell Tower is Chichester's only free, daily youth service, open five afternoons a week with no referral needed. Our drop-in offers a warm, welcoming space with food, activities, mentoring and a consistent, friendly adult presence. Life Group brings young people together weekly to cook, eat and talk through the pressures they face. Alongside 1:1 mentoring, youth leadership and holiday clubs, we help over 500 young people a year feel safe, heard, connected and confident.
