We are raising funds for our busy & brilliant community centre - the only centre in the Dalgarno Ward supporting over 7,200 residents. Funding will support our weekly foodbank, transport to collect food donations & will contribute to the centre's core costs to enable a holistic offer of support.

Dalgarno Trust is situated in one of the 10% most deprived neighbourhoods in England. Our 7,200 residents experience severe socioeconomic deprivation & poor public health outcomes. Food insecurity in Dalgarno is driven by: high levels of low-income households high housing costs, leaving less disposable income above-average levels of unemployment large proportion of families with children significant numbers of residents in social housing ongoing impact of the cost of living crisis
Our food bank is much more than a place to collect food. As the only community centre in the ward, Dalgarno Trust provides a trusted, welcoming environment where residents can access a wide range of support under one roof. Residents visiting the food bank are connected to welfare and benefits advice, health and well-being programmes, community activities, volunteering opportunities and other local services that help address the underlying causes of food insecurity.
