Adopted and care experienced children and young people have the same potential as any other child, but many have experienced abuse, neglect, or being moved between foster homes before adoption. This can affect their mental health, learning, and behaviour. Many need extra help with education and support with their emotional wellbeing. These challenges also have a big impact on adoptive families, who often struggle to get the support they need.

By offering services that provide safe, welcoming spaces where adopted children and young people can make friends, build confidence, strengthen resilience, and develop a positive sense of identity and belonging. Through local groups and online support, they will be able to take part in activities that develop new skills and connect them with others who share similar experiences. By supporting Adoption UK we can give young people the chance to thrive.
