Every child deserves the chance to discover their potential. Through our Primary Shakespeare and Shakespeare Up Close programmes, we introduce 10,000 young people to Shakespeare for the first time each year, unlocking confidence, opportunity and a lifelong appreciation of theatre and learning.

Creative education is in decline, access to live theatre has never been more costly, and many young people never experience Shakespeare in an engaging or accessible way. Complex language can become a barrier, particularly for disadvantaged pupils. By taking Shakespeare from stage to page, we make performance the gateway to understanding, ensuring literacy isn't a barrier to comprehension while building confidence, creativity and communication skills.
Our Primary Shakespeare and Shakespeare Up Close programmes combine interactive workshops with professional performances to prepare young people before they experience Shakespeare live. By creating a safe, inclusive space to explore language, characters and themes, students actively participate, take ownership of their learning and embrace a new cultural experience. This approach opens minds to learning beyond the classroom and inspires lasting curiosity.
