Grand Junction is Paddington Development Trust’s arts and community hub. We give local young people free access to inspiring arts and training opportunities they could not otherwise afford, building confidence, creativity and resilience so they can thrive at school, at home, and into their futures.

Young people in North Westminster face entrenched disadvantage, with many lacking the language, confidence and support to thrive. Schools report challenges with speech, oracy, and emotional literacy, and high levels of SEND. Older young people face low confidence and rising pressure around education and employment. With 43% economically inactive in the local area, parents do not have money to spend on the creative activities that grow confidence, boost employability, and improve future chances.

Our young people and families programme creates opportunities that break down barriers to future success. Arts workshops, inspiring employability training, and safe spaces to play, build confidence, spark imagination, and expand notions of what is possible. Early Years provision grows family relationships. Primary age after-school clubs nurture creativity. Dynamic 16-25 training programmes grow confidence and provide insights into creative industry careers.
