Cancer is diagnosed in the UK at least every 75 seconds. Many people face fear, pain, loneliness and money worries. The emotional and practical impact can be overwhelming, especially after treatment ends, when support can drop away or is patchy and unaffordable. Without help, distress can escalate, harming wellbeing, family life and ability to work. Last year 1,482 people came to our Centre for free support: 9,776 attendances shows demand from patients and loved ones, before crisis hits.

Every person starts with a confidential welcome assessment. We listen, assess emotional, physical and practical needs and agree a plan. We then connect them quickly to the right mix of our free support: counselling or coaching, welfare and benefits advice, support groups, complementary therapies, wellbeing classes and practical workshops. We support carers and families too and stay alongside them, giving what works best for each person. “I’ve never felt so comfortable, safe or heard before.”
