We want to raise enough to provide 7 disabled children with life-transforming wheelchairs – one for each day of the campaign. Disabled children should get the same opportunities as other children, yet too many are excluded from everyday experiences because they don’t have the wheelchairs they need.

There are currently 1.9 million disabled children in the UK, with 3 in 5 living without the specialist equipment they need. Disabled children can be waiting up to 3 years for equipment from statutory services and as a result are facing isolation, poor mental health, and a loss of confidence. Lack of specialist equipment during childhood also has a huge impact on how independently they can live as adults and be included in society.
For over 25 years Newlife have been providing specialist equipment that disabled children urgently need, stepping in when statutory sources cannot. This Christmas our mission is no different – to empower all disabled children and their families to live life to the fullest. With children waiting years for vital equipment that helps them move, play, and thrive Newlife can step in quickly where gaps in provision leave children without.
