Young people in North Manchester face deep-rooted barriers including poverty, limited opportunities, poor health, social isolation, unemployment and pressure from unsafe streets. Many lack a trusted place to go after school, in the evenings or during holidays, where they can feel safe, build confidence, access support and enjoy positive activities. This means young people are being left behind and potentially find themselves in dangerous situations.

By building positive relationships and offering inspiring activities, we help young people feel safe, grow in confidence, develop skills and build brighter futures. MYZ is open 6 days a week and offers a wide range of activities from football and boxing, painting and dance, to STEM skills and even learning the skills needed in life like cooking. We support over 3000 young people a year. One parent noted, "We absolutely love coming. The kids gain confidence and friends and the ability to learn"
