We aim to raise funds to provide a fit-for-purpose pre-school for EYETHU, in E.Cape, South Africa. The current pre-school is a tin shack operating since 2012, with 2 volunteer teachers caring for 53 children. A new EYETHU pre-school will allow registration and unlock regular government funding.

In the poorest regions of South Africa, 73% of children are developmentally behind and at risk due to malnutrition and poor stimulation. Over 50% of pre-Schools receive no government support and operate from makeshift facilities with minimum resources, further disadvantaging children in marginalised communities. Impande has been addressing this need for around 11 years. This campaign seeks to raise the funding to provide a fit-for-purpose facility for EYETHU pre-school, Eastern Cape

At Impande SA we have a proven track record in KZN and Eastern Cape. By knowing all locations where women are caring for malnourished and under-stimulated children from a makeshift structure to a situation where we have children at pre-schools provided with safe care, stimulation, and learning through trained care givers. By rebuilding, the pre-schools become eligible for annual government support for wages and operational costs for the first time.
