Each year you help ensure that children, young people and families enjoy free creative activities with professional artists at Towner and in the community. We are expanding our work in Eastbourne’s Hampden Park and other areas where the need is greatest so please help us again this Christmas.

Many people cannot take part in art and creative activities due to economic disadvantage or poor transport and consequently are denied the benefits of creativity for mental health, children’s cognitive development and general wellbeing. Towner is opening a new Heritage Centre in Hampden Park, one of the most deprived areas in the UK, in addition to continuing its existing partnership with The Trees Community Centre supporting local families and its gallery-based creative activities.
The new Heritage Centre will offer sessions for everyone to explore Eastbourne’s archaeological and local history collections discovering the history of the town and South Downs. Through both Towner's art collection and the heritage collections, we can learn stories about our past. As always, we will continue offering free creative sessions at The Trees and Towner for under 4s, art and making activities for families and schools, as well as training opportunities for students.
