The UK is rich in resources, yet inequality holds us back. While wealth has soared for a few - 157 billionaires now own 22% of GDP, up from 4% in 1990 - millions struggle to afford the basics. It doesn’t have to be this way. Inequality is created, which means it can be undone. Together, we can shift power to people and communities, rebuild trust, and reimagine an economy that works for everyone. The appetite for change is growing. Now is the time to build a fairer future where all can thrive.
We tackle inequality in two ways. We work within democratic systems for change: co-leading the campaign to commence the socio economic duty, as secretariat of the APPG on Poverty and Inequality, and meeting regularly with the Cabinet Office. And we build alternatives by training Community Economists to reshape economic narratives. By transforming complex public data into high-impact campaigns, such as Billionaire Britain, we shift public mindsets to build solidarity within & across communities.
