No one should feel left out at Christmas. Your donation helps adults with learning disabilities and autism find friendship, purpose and confidence through meaningful work on the farm. We deliver inclusive, fun, skill building and development sessions filled with creative, practical activities.

Impact areas
People with learning disabilities have a shorter life expectancy and are vulnerable to exploitation and neglect over the course of their lifetime. The disabilities people experience can affect independent living, access to housing, employment and meaningful occupation, with less than 7% of people with learning disabilities in paid employment. This can lead to acute social isolation and loneliness, exacerbating vulnerability and poor health, as people age and family support networks fall away.
FarmAbility will create farm sessions where people can get involved in a range of purposeful activities in an inclusive and rewarding environment for people with learning disabilities. Our work is based on Occupational Therapy and uses an enabling approach to foster independence and self-expression while creating fun, welcoming communities. We provide a sense of purpose, of contribution to a greater outcome, and offer opportunities for beneficial interaction with people, animals and wildlife.
