Following the death of a loved one, many people experience overwhelming grief, loneliness and a loss of confidence. This can be heightened at certain times of the year, for instance Christmas. Without the right support, grief can lead to prolonged isolation, poor mental wellbeing and difficulty reconnecting with everyday life. Our hospice is addressing this gap by providing a range of community-based bereavement services that feels right for each individual.
Our aim is to ensure people can access bereavement support in a way that feels right for them, recognising that everyone's grief journey is unique. Whether someone benefits from individual support, peer support, gentle social connection or simply being alongside others who understand, we want to offer opportunities that help people rebuild confidence, reconnect with their community and find hope after loss.
