At Wilderness Foundation UK, we believe that when people reconnect with nature, lives can change. Through our therapeutic and educational programmes, we support vulnerable children, young people and adults to improve their mental wellbeing, develop resilience and build brighter futures.

We support vulnerable children, young people and adults experiencing poor mental health, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, behavioural challenges and social isolation. Many feel disconnected from their communities and the natural world. Through nature-based therapy, mentoring and outdoor experiences, we help people rebuild emotional resilience, improve wellbeing, develop confidence and reconnect with themselves, others and nature.
Our nature-based therapy programmes help vulnerable children, young people and adults improve their mental and physical wellbeing through immersive outdoor experiences led by trained therapists and facilitators. Alongside this, our environmental education programmes deliver curriculum-linked workshops for primary, secondary and SEN schools, inspiring young people to understand climate change, sustainability and biodiversity by harnessing the power of nature.
