HI Friends is seeking to maintain support provided to local older people living in Histon and Impington. Many are living isolated and lonely lives without the support of local family and this can impact their physical and mental wellbeing. With an increasing number of children/young people living with Special Educational Needs and the support available in schools much reduced due to funding pressures many families are feeling isolated and detached with their wellbeing deteriorating.

With over 1250 residents aged 65 and over living locally the HI Friends Older People's Team provides dedicated support through a range of services and activities. This includes home visits, relational support, Lunch club, exercise activities, and special trips. HI Friends seeks to support SEND families through providing connection opportunities with a SEND parent/carer support group where experiences can be shared, a regular SEND family games evening and a regular drop in slot at local Library.
