Young people growing up in poverty experience multiple overlapping challenges to learning. They experience disproportionate levels of stress and trauma due to the systemic inequities of living in poverty, which often results in social, emotional and mental health needs. They are more likely to disengage from education, be persistently absent or be excluded from school. They need extra help to realise their potential.
Power2 delivers unique, life-changing programmes that support young people to develop the crucial personal and interpersonal skills that underpin good mental wellbeing and lifelong mental health. Our wellbeing-first approach enables young people to develop the critical foundation of self-confidence, self-worth and resilience needed to access opportunities, to re-engage with school and learning, and lead fulfilling lives.
