We are an Arts and Education charity creatively bringing Song to SE London: to the young through music in local state schools; to the elderly in care centres; to everyone in between at acclaimed Song artists recitals (many of them free); and to early career musicians in our Young Artists Programme.

Social and economic barriers to classical music exist for all ages. Ofsted reported in 2023 that inequalities in music education persist and had not improved since 2012. Half of the primary schools visited did not offer music lessons. Aspiring young musicians can struggle to move from education to professional life and not achieve their potential. The elderly can suffer from lack of social interaction and often have few opportunities to experience live music of beauty and quality.

SongEasel provides free school music projects, designing content and delivering activities through a diverse group of artists, and assists schools by providing organisational support. We provide a Young Artist Programme to deliver mentoring and performance opportunities to help bridge the gap from education to a professional music career. We deliver performances in homes for the elderly to bring the joy and beauty of live performance to those no longer be able to attend traditional venues.
