We’re raising funds to support pupils in Pupil Referral Units (PRU's) through sport and life-skills sessions. The project gives young people a positive space to build confidence, manage conflict, work as a team and make better choices for their future.

Impact areas
Pupils in Pupil Referral Units are some of the most vulnerable young people in education. Many face poverty, poor mental health, learning needs, conflict, low confidence and risk of gang involvement. Nationally, outcomes are very low, with only around 1 in 27 pupils leaving alternative provision achieving grade 4+ in English and maths, compared with almost 2 in 3 pupils overall.
CKC will use sport, mentoring and life-skills sessions to give PRU pupils a positive alternative. Our coaches will help young people build confidence, manage conflict, work as a team and set goals. With regular sessions, progress cards and achievement awards, pupils will be supported to re-engage with education and work towards better futures.
