People living with dementia (PLWD) and their carers often face loneliness, declining well-being, and increasing challenges as the condition progresses. Many carers experience stress, exhaustion and isolation, leaving them at risk of reaching crisis point. Without timely specialist support, families can struggle to cope, increasing the likelihood of avoidable hospital admissions, earlier residential care and poorer outcomes for everyone affected by dementia. PLWD can also decline much quicker.

We provide specialist, person-centred, holistic support that helps families live well with dementia. We offer free one-to-one support for carers, providing expert advice, guidance and emotional support. PLWD attend our weekly dementia-friendly groups across the city, where they enjoy meaningful activities that promote cognitive stimulation, confidence and connection. While they are supported, carers benefit from valuable respite, helping them continue in their caring role for longer.
