Sexual exploitation is a real injustice and is happening all across the UK. It is the most reported form of exploitation by women and girls, who are not selling sex out of ‘choice’, but often have stories of abuse and poverty that led them to this point. Lack of housing is both a reason for entry into exploitation and a barrier to exit. For a woman to start healing from trauma, having a safe home and specialist counselling are critical; even then, sustained recovery is rarely quick or linear.

Together, we can change this. Orchards is uniquely positioned to empower women through a holistic, survivor-led approach to recovery. With your support and kindness, we are expanding the reach of our in-person safe housing and counselling hubs, and our nationwide online counselling service, to see more survivors like *Kay free from sexual exploitation, and empowered to reclaim their future. To date, 100% of women who completed their time in our housing remained out of exploitative situations.
