At the Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants, our mission is to offer the emotional support, practical tools and sense of community people need to build a new life in the UK. Every week, we offer 3 community days in Islington where people can join classes, share food and know they belong.

People seeking sanctuary from war and persecution are resilient and resourceful. But, most of the 225 people in our community are homeless, either staying in temporary Government accommodation, in hostels, or in some cases on the streets. Our 3 community days each week offer people warmth, welcome and unwavering support. People often come for several years, becoming part of our community, as they rebuild their lives. ‘M’ said: 'At the Centre I enjoy all activities that improve health, that help us forget our problems.’ Our community days offer: Food and donations English classes Casework support to overcome issues including with housing, healthcare, legal advice etc. Art and fitness classes Digital inclusion Community
