Our planet is in a climate and nature emergency. Extreme weather events, such as flooding and droughts, are becoming commonplace. Meanwhile, in 2025 more than four million hectares of precious tropical forest were destroyed – twice the size of Wales. Evidence shows that greenhouse gases and deforestation are heating our planet and destabilising the climate. To limit this damage, we must drastically cut emissions and protect precious habitats and limit global warming to 1.5°C.

We believe empowering Indigenous and local communities is the best way to preserve and restore tropical forests. Funds raised will support our forest partners to tackle deforestation and grow trees. We will also work to empower communities in Wales to reduce our global deforestation footprint by promoting ethical food and deforestation free living. A focus will be on empowering young people in Wales to have their voices heard and be part of the climate solution.
