Nearly 1 in 5 people are aged 65 years and over, that’s over 245,000 older people living in West Sussex, Brighton & Hove. Our aging population face a range of challenges; one in five live in poverty, and nearly a quarter live alone, many have health challenges and are also carers. “I had nobody. I was completely lost. Day and night, week after week, month after month. The loneliness gets under your skin.” They need to know where to turn for support.

Our free helpline provides older people with the advice, support and resources they need to live a fuller, happier life. Calls received are on a wide range of issues from urgent welfare needs, financial help, carers support, activities to combat social isolation and much more. They are answered by fully trained staff, providing a friendly helpful voice at the end of the phone, for someone in need of kindness and care.
