Our criminal justice system is broken. Our mission is for Restorative Justice (RJ) to be at the heart of a fair & effective justice system. It is proven to support victims cope & recover from crime, reduce reoffending & is cost effective. Victims have the right to be told about RJ under the Victims Code, yet only 5% recall being told about it. If people don't know about it then they are not able to access it. Why me? is working to change this through innovative communications & outreach work.

Why me? has a well established track record of undertaking innovative communications (short films, animations, podcasts, billboard campaigns) and outreach work to raise awareness of RJ, break down barriers and influence policy. We have a team of Ambassadors, who are passionate about telling their stories of how RJ transformed their lives. Together, we work with victims organisations and criminal justice agencies to increase their knowledge and confidence in RJ, how it works, and how it can help.
