Despite supporting thousands of people each year, more individuals are facing crises of housing insecurity, mental health, and unmet support needs. Once crises escalate to the point where someone is sleeping rough, they are likely to experience ill health, isolation, crime, and difficulty accessing essential services. They face a long road back to stability via outreach, crisis accommodation, and other services needed to address trauma. We know it’s not enough to respond after problems escalate.
This is why we focus on preventing homelessness and mental health crises from happening, whilst being there to provide support when they do. We are working to embed early intervention across everything we do – for example by strengthening relationships, promoting wellbeing, building resilience, and addressing housing issues. With over 30 services spanning homelessness and housing, mental health, families, young people, and refugee resettlement, we are working towards a future free from crisis.
