Designed with a long and thin cylinder body and pointed nose, the Bristol T188 represents the world-changing innovation happening in Filton at that time; pioneering work that led to Concorde’s triumph. Currently it is in store with limited public access, preventing audiences from engaging with this object of great historic significance. We now have an opportunity to bring it home for public display alongside related collections, ensuring its stories and spectacle can be appreciated by all.

With your support, we can bring the T188 home to Aerospace Bristol in 2027. Visitors will be able to watch conservation of the aircraft as our experienced staff and volunteer teams carry out assessment, cleaning and careful repairs. Wider audiences will follow the online story of the project. Our Heritage and Collections team will carry out careful research, engaging local people and communities, to uncover and share stories of the T188’s remarkable role in aviation.
