FIRST® LEGO® League engages young people aged 6–16 in real‑world STEM and engineering problem solving, building key skills and resilience. Through hands-on LEGO® coding and robotics, it inspires curiosity, critical thinking and future employability for those who need these opportunities.

Beneficiaries
We expect continued demand from disadvantaged groups in the UK needing LEGO® robotics kits to take part in FIRST® LEGO® League; but we can’t fund them all. Last year, we supported 25,240 children, including 8,296 from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them develop STEM learning, skills, and aspirations. Teams reported vastly improved teamwork, problem‑solving, confidence, communication and resilience skills development; and 84% said they’d also gained greater awareness of STEM career paths.
Through donations, we'll support groups with high-quality STEM resources and guidance to help integrate FIRST® LEGO® League into curricula or activities. We'll ensure the right equipment and training are available. We work closely with our partners (such as local councils and organisations) to deliver exceptional STEM experiences - reaching young people who need these opportunities. Together we're helping close the STEM education gap, supporting future talent and building a stronger engineering.
