Too many families with young children are struggling alone. Across Merton, parents are facing increasing pressures from the rising cost of living, poor mental health, social isolation, insecure housing, and the lasting impact of trauma. For many, there is no nearby family or support network to turn to. Without timely support, these challenges can affect parents' wellbeing, children's development, family relationships, and increase the risk of families reaching crisis point.

The earliest years of a child's life are critical. When parents receive practical and emotional support early, families are better able to cope, children are more likely to thrive, and the need for more intensive statutory intervention can often be prevented. Our in home led volunteers and community programmes aim to remove challenges for families and build connection - where children can thrive and parents find their in strength to cope during difficult times.
